The Lal-Sabuj Cycling Club, Nabiganj, has presented a commemorative award to Professor Tofazzal Islam Chowdhury—the first Mayor of Nabiganj Municipality, a distinguished educationist, and a social worker. At an event held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, the organization presented this honor on behalf of the club in recognition of outstanding contributions to education, social service, and the development of Nabiganj Municipality. Speakers at the event remarked that Professor Tofazzal Islam Chowdhury is a widely respected figure across all circles in Nabiganj, known as an honest, competent, and humanitarian individual who is dedicated to the welfare of the people. Upon accepting the honor, Professor Tofazzal Islam Chowdhury expressed his sincere gratitude to the Lal-Sabuj Cycling Club and stated that the youth need to become more actively involved in sports, travel, environmental conservation, and social and humanitarian activities.
